Under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, the university organized the “Three Minutes Thesis” competition on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. This innovative scientific competition aims to present doctoral theses in a concise and contemporary format.
The competition attended by Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheem Jasim, the Assistant of the president for Scientific Affairs, members of the ministerial judging committee overseeing the competition, as well as a selection of supervising professors and graduate students.
A number of PhD students delivered an intensive presentation for their thesis before of the judging committee, only in three minutes, and using only one presentation slide.
In the end of the activity, the committee announced the winners:
⦁ Ameen Adul Rahman Dhiaa- the College of Arts\ English Department.
⦁ Mustafa Raied Najeeb- the College of Computer Science and Mathematics\ Mathematical Sciences Department.

This competition aims to develop the researcher skills in simplifying their scientific ideas to be clear and direct, thereby enhancing communication between academic research and society, and highlighting the practical value of scientific studies.
