On Monday, 22 September, 2025, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, the President of Mosul University, participated in the joint meeting chaired by the Dr. Mohammed Ali Tamim, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning.

The meeting also included Dr. Maher Hamad Johan, Deputy Minister of Planning, Engineer Basim Dhari Mahmoud, Director General for Sector Planning at the Ministry, Dr. Abbas Fadel, Director General for Construction at the Ministry of Higher Education, along with the Director of Construction at the University of Mosul and several specialists.

During the meeting, they discussed a comprehensive construction project includes establishing new dormitories for the students from other governorates, in addition to several new colleges and service buildings, and providing the factors of supporting academic, scientific process.
