In continuation of the previously agreed-upon mechanisms between the University of Mosul, represented by Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University, and the Nineveh Directorate of Civil Status, Passports, and Residency, represented by Brigadier General Hakim Daham Habo, regarding the possibility of launching mobile stations within the university campus to issue unified national ID cards for students and staff for the purpose of facilitating procedures, saving time and reducing the pressure in the directorate, an expanded meeting was held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the university presidency.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheem Ibrahim Jasim, the Scientific Assistant of University President, Brigadier General Hakim Daham Habo, and several directors of the relevant university departments. They decided to launch this service on Sunday, 28 September, 2025, and discuss the preparations to guarantee a precise organization of the process.
This step reflects the efforts of the university to solve the problems and remove the obstacles in serving the students staff, and the local community alike.
