University of Mosul Hosts a Scientific Workshop to Establish a Roadmap for Implementing the Bologna Process in New Disciplines

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the Department of Studies and Planning, in collaboration with the Center for Computer Services at the University of Mosul, organized a scientific workshop titled: “Implementing the Bologna Process for New Disciplines: Guidelines and Learning Outcomes”. The workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Muthanna Subhi Suleiman, Director of the Department of Studies and Planning.
The workshop was attended by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, the Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs, as well as several deans of colleges, faculty members, and those interested in academic affairs.
The workshop covered the fundamentals of applying the Bologna Process to new disciplines, as well as the mechanisms for preparing academic guidelines (program guide, course guide, syllabus, and course description) to enhance transparency and quality. It also included training for participants on how to formulate clear, measurable learning outcomes aligned with labor market requirements, emphasizing the role of this process in achieving academic accreditation and enhancing international recognition of university degrees.
