ON Sunday, 28 September, 2025, professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, the President of Mosul University, chaired the second session of University Council for the academic Year 2025-2026, with the attendance of Council members.

The session discussed a number of important topics, most notably:
Following-up the procedures of the third campus and meeting its organizational and academic demands.

The establishment of the College of Medicine at Al-Batoul and the importance of completing its formal and academic requirements in line with the university’s drive to expand its medical specializations.

Reviewing the positions of colleges and academic departments in submitting academic program descriptions and course syllabi.

Reviewing the evaluation of the colleges based on approved performance indicators to enhance the positive competition and elevate academic standards.

Standardizing exam mechanisms across all colleges by adopting multiple-choice questions (MCQ) to ensure objectivity in evaluation and accurate measurement of learning outcomes.

The Council addressed a number of scientific and administrative topics on its agenda.
