Emphasizing the importance of safety culture in the laboratories environment, the Chemical, Biological and Radiological Safety and Security Division at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized the fifty-second course in the field of chemical, biological and nuclear radiological safety and security, from October 6 to 9, 2025.

The course targeted 58 postgraduates students from master degree and PhD who finished their preparatory year to qualify them for safe and responsible handling with materials and equipment within scientific laboratories.

Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jasim, the Scientific Assistant of University President, attended the opening of the course. He presented the first lecture,
emphasizing on the vital role of these courses in strengthening the professional safety criteria, and guarantee safe scientific and sustainable environment.

This course is part of annual training programs implemented by Mosul University to raise the capabilities of its student and researchers in laboratories safety procedures, and protecting staff, laboratories, and scientific equipment from potential hazards.
