On Saturday, 12 October, 2025, the Scientific Affairs Department organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Your Guide to Publishing Your Scientific Research: Choosing the Best Journal and Steps to Create an Account in Clarivate Repository.” This workshop is part of the university’s program aimed at enhancing researchers’ capabilities and developing a culture of rigorous scientific publishing.

The workshop covered the mechanisms for selecting reputable journals listed in global repositories such as Scopus and Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science), as well as the practical steps for creating academic accounts and submitting research according to internationally recognized standards. Additionally, the session focused on raising awareness about how to verify the credibility of journals and avoid predatory and unrecognized publications.

This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the University of Mosul to improve the efficiency of its researchers, expand publications in prestigious global journals, and strengthen the university’s academic and research standing both locally and internationally.
