The Launch of the “Mawahib” Program at the University of Mosul with Participation of 244 Students

 

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Abdul-Rahim Ibrahim Jasim, the Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs, the Department of Science and Technology Gardens at the University of Mosul launched the “Mawahib” program, with the participation of 244 talented students from various university faculties.

The program aims to discover and develop students’ creative and innovative potential, nurturing their entrepreneurial ideas within a university environment that fosters creativity and excellence. This initiative enhances the University of Mosul’s position as a leading center in supporting innovation and university entrepreneurship.

The talents of the participants varied across scientific, literary, artistic, innovative, and industrial fields, reflecting the richness of the youth energy at the University of Mosul and the diversity of their areas of excellence.

The program was inaugurated with a speech by Dr. Omar Qusai Jasim, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Gardens, who emphasized the importance of the initiative in supporting innovation and refining university talents. He pointed out that presenting a selection of projects by talented students will represent the first step towards establishing startups within the university, in line with its efforts to strengthen its leadership role in serving the community and the national economy.

The launch of the “Mawahib” program is part of the vision of the University of Mosul’s administration to promote a culture of creativity and entrepreneurship among students, opening new horizons to turn their ideas into practical, applicable projects that contribute to building a more innovative and progressive future for both the university and the community.
