On Sunday, October 26, 2025, Mosul University launched new training courses under the “Riyada” initiative, which is sponsored by His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani, Prime Minister of Iraq. This initiative aims to empower students and graduates, supporting them in developing innovative entrepreneurial projects that foster a spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship.

The courses were directly supervised by Dr. Wahid Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of Mosul University, with ongoing follow-up by Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, the Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs. The training sessions were held in the Science and Technology Department’s hall at the Scientific and Literary Forum, with trainees divided into two groups: morning and evening sessions.

The training was conducted by certified trainers under the initiative, Assistant Lecturer Bashayer Zaid Abdulhassan and Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Nadhim Qabbah. Participants received practical and knowledge-based skills to help develop their entrepreneurial ideas and transform them into sustainable productive projects.

Through this initiative, Mosul University reiterates its commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at empowering youth and building their capabilities, in line with the Iraqi government’s vision to enhance an economy based on innovation and sustainable development.
