Mosul University Continues the “Ghiras Al-Rahma” Initiative with a Tree-Planting Campaign at the College of Tourism Sciences

As part of its ongoing environmental initiatives within the university campus, Mosul University organized a large-scale tree-planting campaign through the College of Tourism Sciences on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, under the “Ghiras Al-Rahma” (Trees of Mercy) initiative. The campaign aimed to expand green spaces and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the university environment.
The event was supervised by the Agricultural Unit of the Administrative Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Media and Governmental Communications Department at the university’s presidency. It was attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Manal Raafat Khalid, along with the college’s staff members. The activity included planting various saplings in several locations around the campus to support ongoing efforts toward adopting environmentally friendly practices.
This campaign reflects Mosul University’s continued commitment to promoting a culture of sustainability and social responsibility. It embodies the university’s vision of creating a healthy, green campus environment that contributes to the well-being of students and the broader university community.
