College of Education for Humanities Continues the Initiative of “Ghiras Al-Rahma” Toward a Greener University

In affirmation of its role in supporting university initiatives aimed at environmental sustainability and raising environmental awareness, and as part of the “Ghiras Al-Rahma” initiative launched by Mosul University’s presidency, the College of Education for Humanities organized a green campaign titled “Ghiras Al-Rahma Blooms at Mosul University” on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. The campaign was conducted under the supervision of Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan Mohammed, Dean of the College, in collaboration with the Administrative Affairs Department(Diwan)/ Agricultural Unit and the Media and Government Communications Department at the university’s presidency.
The campaign involved planting various types of trees and flowering shrubs in the college gardens, aiming to promote values of beauty, belonging, and environmental responsibility among the university’s students and staff. It reflects the university’s vision to create a green belt that contributes to a clean and sustainable environment.
This initiative continues Mosul University’s approach to encouraging teamwork and volunteerism, reinforcing the culture of preserving green spaces within the campus and ensuring their longevity, reflecting the university’s commitment to both the environment and the community.
