The Scientific Affairs Department at Mosul University Holds a Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Research Labs

As part of Mosul University’s efforts to advance scientific research in the humanities and apply modern technologies to support researchers, the Scientific Affairs Department at the university presidency organized a workshop on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, titled “Artificial Intelligence in Research Labs: Advanced Tools and Applications to Support and Formulate Master’s and Ph.D. Theses in the Humanities.” The workshop was attended by graduate students from various university colleges.

The workshop covered methods for using artificial intelligence tools in researching previous studies, organizing references, text analysis, and formulating ideas with professionalism and academic integrity. It also included practical applications on improving academic writing and developing both the theoretical and methodological frameworks using smart tools.

The goal of the workshop was to empower researchers to effectively integrate artificial intelligence tools in the stages of writing and analysis while maintaining standards of originality and academic citation, contributing to enhancing the quality of research and facilitating the completion of research tasks.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Khaled Sabri, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Faten Aziz Mustafa, Head of the Research Support Unit, Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Rakan, and Engineer Hassan Basel Dhnoon.

This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the Scientific Affairs Department to support the transition to smart research and enhance researchers’ ability to utilize artificial intelligence tools, aligning with Mosul University’s vision to develop an advanced digital research environment.
