As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance its academic and community role and contribute to the development of the quality assurance and institutional accreditation system in Iraq, Mosul University, represented by Professor Dr. Noha Salim Mohammed, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, participated in the national accreditation evaluation team led by Dr. Khaled Shnawa, assigned to evaluate Al-Warith Al-Anbiya University (Peace be upon him).

This participation is part of the collaborative scientific and academic programs between Iraqi universities, supervised by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority – Department of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the goal of enhancing university performance and promoting a culture of quality in higher education institutions.

The visit aimed to evaluate the requirements and standards for institutional accreditation at the university. The evaluation process covered the academic environment, infrastructure, curricula, quality assurance mechanisms, and continuous development processes, as well as reviewing the administrative and scientific performance indicators in preparation for completing the national institutional accreditation requirements.

Mosul University’s participation in this team reaffirms its leadership position in academic excellence, its expertise in quality assurance and academic evaluation, and its commitment to supporting the Ministry of Higher Education’s efforts in developing a solid academic environment and national performance standards that enhance the competitiveness of Iraqi universities both locally and internationally.
