Mosul University Shares Its Scientific and Engineering Efforts with the Community in the Rehabilitation of the Fourth Bridge

 

The College of Engineering at Mosul University, Civil Engineering Department, organized a specialized workshop on Thursday, November 20, 2025, titled “Rehabilitation of the Fourth Bridge in Mosul,” in collaboration with the Nineveh Directorate of Roads and Bridges, as part of supporting vital engineering projects in the city.

The workshop aimed to transfer scientific and research expertise to students and exchange future perspectives on implementing strategic projects, thereby enhancing the university’s role in supporting the reconstruction of Mosul. The sessions included presentations on the technical and structural challenges faced during the rehabilitation of the Fourth Bridge, as well as a review of the role of the engineering consultancy office at Mosul University, represented by consultants from the Civil Engineering Department, in providing effective engineering solutions, oversight, and evaluation processes.

This event underscores the College of Engineering’s commitment to fostering institutional collaboration with government entities and its ongoing efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 11, which focuses on creating sustainable cities and communities. The college’s expertise is being utilized to support the community and contribute to the development of essential infrastructure projects in the province.
