On Thursday, November 20, 2025, Mosul University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, received a recognition award for its participation in the national scientific conference titled “The Role of Educational Institutions in Reducing Drug Abuse,” organized by the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The award was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Ghanem, Director of the University Counseling and Psychological Guidance Department, to the President of the University, in the presence of Professor Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, Assistant of the President for Scientific Affairs. This award was in recognition of the department’s active participation in the conference.
In his remarks, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi praised the efforts of the University Counseling and Psychological Guidance Department, commending their outstanding participation, which reflected the university’s strong academic presence in this important national event. He emphasized that Mosul University will continue to play a leading role in addressing societal issues and supporting applied scientific research.
