In celebration of French Teacher’s Day, the College of Arts held an official ceremony on Thursday, 4 December 2025, attended by the French Consul in Nineveh, Mr. Fabrice Deblechin, along with Prof. Hatem Fahd Hanno, Dean of the College.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on prospects for developing academic and cultural partnerships, ways to enhance the teaching and curriculum of the French language, and avenues for strengthening mutual support that encourages students to achieve excellence and creativity in this field.

The ceremony also included special recognition for a number of outstanding French language students from various schools across Nineveh Province, highlighting the university’s role in empowering its learners by providing a comprehensive educational environment supported by advanced curricula and modern language laboratories. The event reaffirmed the importance of promoting French language education as an academic and cultural pillar that opens wide opportunities for students in their educational and research paths.
