The University of Mosul participated in hosting the Northern Region qualifiers for the Iraqi Universities Volleyball Championship for both male and female students, in collaboration with the Northern Technical University and jointly hosted with several universities in the northern region. The qualifiers will continue until December 23, 2025, as part of the university’s support for collegiate sports and the enhancement of student activities.

The University of Mosul opened its sports facilities to accommodate the participating teams, with high-level organizational preparations that contributed to creating an ideal environment for the success of this academic sports event.

Since the start of the qualifiers, there has been notable attendance and widespread participation, reflecting the level of engagement with university activities. The matches were marked by a distinguished athletic and technical performance, showcasing the high skills of the male and female players and their competitive spirit, which received admiration from spectators and sports professionals. This highlights the role of university sports in fostering bonds of communication and camaraderie among students of Iraqi universities.
