On Monday, December 15, 2025, the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, met with the College staff of the College of Medicine, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Hummam Ghanem, the academic and administrative deputies, and the Director of the Finance and Administration Department at the University Presidency.

The meeting focused on the topic of scientific research and ways to enhance it within the college, discussing the main challenges and issues faced by faculty members during their academic and administrative duties. During the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of enhancing research activities for faculty members and encouraged publishing in reputable scientific journals indexed in global databases, particularly the Scopus database. He also confirmed the University’s commitment to addressing administrative and financial obstacles that may hinder the academic journey, aiming to create a supportive and motivating academic environment that promotes both education and research at the university.
