In line with its ongoing efforts to enhance green spaces and reduce environmental pollution, the University of Mosul has continued implementing the “Ghiras al-Rahma” initiative launched by the university’s presidency. On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department at the university’s presidency organized a tree-planting campaign, which involved planting various types of seedlings and plants within the campus, aiming to promote the concept of a green university and improve the environmental conditions.

The campaign was supervised by the Agricultural Division of the Department of the University Presidency, in collaboration with the Media and Government Communication Department at the university, and was supported by several staff members, reflecting the university’s commitment to spreading volunteerism culture and raising environmental awareness.

These efforts aim to expand the green areas and maintain a healthy and sustainable campus environment, in line with the university’s goals for sustainable development and community service. The initiative is part of a series of environmental activities aimed at surrounding the campus with a green belt and improving the quality of life within it.
