The College of Engineering at the University of Mosul organized a scientific seminar titled “Freedom of Expression: Between Rights and Responsibility – A Legal and Psychological Guidance Perspective” on Sunday, December 21, 2025. The event was held in collaboration with the College of Law and the University Counseling Department at the University of Mosul, with the participation of a select group of academics and specialists.

The seminar addressed both the social and legal aspects of freedom of expression, explaining its frameworks, limits, and the responsibilities associated with it. It also highlighted the psychological impacts and the importance of promoting a culture of dialogue and tolerance. The seminar is part of the university’s efforts to enhance legal and intellectual awareness and to instil the concept of responsible freedom of expression within the academic environment, supporting a culture of dialogue and respect for differing opinions.
