On January 7, 2026, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul welcomed the ministerial committee formed to establish a doctoral program in Statistics and Data Science, as part of the procedures for completing the required academic and scientific requirements.

The committee conducted a field tour of the Department of Statistics and Informatics, during which it reviewed the scientific and human resources, laboratories, classrooms, as well as the curricula and research plans. This visit is part of the college’s efforts to expand its graduate programs, enhance scientific research, and elevate the academic level to meet the needs of society and the labour market.
