Condolences

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“O tranquil soul, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him].”
With hearts that believe in Allah’s decree and destiny, and are deeply grieved by the pain of loss, the Council of the University of Mosul, along with all its staff and students, mourns our beloved daughter and martyr of knowledge, the student Maryam Hamed, who passed away a short while ago after a bitter struggle with illness, despite all medical efforts to save her life.
Today, we have lost a dear daughter. We had hoped and prayed to Allah that she would return to her study benches, and we followed her condition moment by moment, hoping for her recovery. However, Allah’s will prevailed, and none can repel His decree.
On behalf of the University of Mosul in its entirety, we extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the deceased, her relatives, and her fellow students. We ask Almighty Allah to envelop her in His vast mercy and to grant her family patience and solace.
As the university bids farewell to its daughter, it affirms its full solidarity and support with her family in this great loss.
Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
