On January 11, 2026, the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, chaired an expanded meeting that brought together the deans and academic staff of the Colleges of Arts and Education for Humanities. The meeting aimed to gain direct insight into the reality of the teaching, research, and academic environment, and to enhance support mechanisms for faculty members in a way that contributes to curriculum development and the advancement of the university’s intellectual and humanistic outputs.

During the meeting, the University President emphasized that improving the educational and pedagogical system begins with empowering academic and administrative staff and providing the necessary tools to enhance the quality of academic performance. He stressed the importance of overcoming all administrative and technical obstacles facing daily work, in order to strengthen the pioneering role of the College of Arts in preserving cultural identity, and the College of Education for Humanities in preparing future generations on sound scientific foundations, in fulfillment of the university’s mission to serve society.
