The Mosul Studies Center Organizes a Scientific Seminar on the Economic Conditions of Mosul across Historical Eras

The Mosul Studies Center, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, organized the sixty-sixth scientific seminar entitled “The Economic Conditions of Mosul across Historical Eras,” with the participation of a group of researchers and academics specializing in history and economics.
The seminar addressed several themes highlighting the economic reality of Mosul during the Ottoman period, through the study of commercial activities, crafts, industries, and markets, in addition to examining the impact of political and administrative factors on the city’s economic life. The event also included the discussion of research papers that presented analytical readings supported by historical sources, contributing to enriching the academic discussion on the economic history of Mosul.
