Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired an expanded meeting attended by the Head of the Academics’ Syndicate, Nineveh Branch, Professor Dr. Basel Khalaf which brought together the deans and staff of the Colleges of Science, Fine Arts, and Computer Science and Mathematics. The meeting aimed to gain direct insight into the current state of the teaching, research, and technological environments, and to explore ways to develop them in a manner that enhances innovation, digital transformation, and creative advancement in these vital disciplines.

During the meeting, the University President emphasized that advancing the educational system begins with empowering academic and administrative staff and providing the necessary tools to improve the quality of academic and research performance. He stressed the importance of removing obstacles that hinder daily work within the colleges.

He also highlighted the pivotal role of the College of Science in supporting applied research, the College of Fine Arts in enriching cultural and artistic movements, and the College of Computer Science and Mathematics in leading digital transformation. These roles collectively contribute to achieving comprehensive academic excellence and strengthening the scientific standing of the University of Mosul.
