In celebration of National Quran Day, the Continuing Education Center at the University of Mosul organized a specialized seminar titled “The Role of Scholars of Mosul in Teaching the Quran (History and Methodology).” The seminar highlighted the rich legacy of scholars from the city of Mosul throughout the ages and reviewed their significant contributions to serving the Holy Quran, from traditional teaching and memorization methods to the development of solid educational curricula that established the city as a beacon of knowledge and Quranic scholarship.

During the sessions, researchers and participants discussed the historical and methodological aspects of these efforts, emphasizing the profound impact these scholars had in instilling Quranic values and shaping successive generations based on strong ethical and academic foundations. The seminar also stressed that this Quranic heritage was not merely religious education, but a fundamental pillar for preserving the Islamic and scholarly identity of both the city and the University of Mosul.
