As part of its efforts to strengthen its scientific journals and enable them to enter global indexing databases, Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jasim, Assistant to the President of the University for Scientific Affairs, chaired a meeting on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, with the editors-in-chief and managing editors of the university’s scientific journals.

The meeting focused on discussing the scientific publishing standards and indexing criteria, identifying the key factors that contribute to enhancing the scientific quality of these journals, while also adhering to ethical publishing practices. Emphasis was placed on establishing clear scientific policies to achieve advanced impact factors, allowing the journals to be included in global Scopus databases, thereby serving the university and its scientific and research community, and ensuring their worldwide reach and visibility.
