Under the directives of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jasim, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Abdulmalik Al-Shorbagy, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, paid an official visit to Lancaster University in the United Kingdom to discuss prospects for academic and research cooperation between the two universities.

The visit included meetings with a number of academic leaders at Lancaster University, during which both sides discussed cooperation in the areas of faculty, researcher, and student exchange; joint supervision of postgraduate students; research projects; postdoctoral programs; capacity building; organizing courses and workshops; and exploring opportunities to launch joint educational programs.

This visit comes as part of the University of Mosul’s strategy to expand its international partnerships, enhance its academic standing, and support the quality of higher education and scientific research.
