A Crucial Step Towards Implementation…The University of Mosul Concludes the Discussions of Solar Energy Project

 

After five days of discussions and reviewing the project’s technical and administrative requirements, the University of Mosul has concluded a series of technical and administrative meetings with the German delegation involved in the solar energy project, supported by the German Development Bank (KfW).

The closing session, attended by Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and a representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, witnessed the signing of the minutes of the meetings between the two sides. This paves the way for completing the signing of the official agreements at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Baghdad in the coming period, followed by the commencement of the project’s implementation on the ground.

This project, as the largest university clean-energy in Iraq, represents a strategic step towards reducing energy cost, enhancing sustainability and building green university, thereby reinforcing the University of Mosul’s role in serving Nineveh and the wider community.
