The department of Industrial Management, at the University of Mosul – College of Administration and Economics discuss a Higher Diploma thesis entitled:
“Improving Product Quality Based on the Lean Thinking Approach”
was discussed by the student Ahmed Nidal Aziz Al-Sanjari on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, in Discussion Hall No. (1).
The study aimed to identify the extent to which the lean thinking approach can be applied, as well as to examine the nature of the relationship and impact between the principles of this approach and the level of product quality.
The study reached several conclusions, most notably that the results of description and diagnosis showed that the level of application of the lean thinking approach at the Ready-Made Garments Factory in Nineveh Governorate was at a moderate level tending toward positivity. This reflects the presence of managerial and workforce awareness of the importance of this approach. However, the application still requires further strengthening and development in some of its dimensions, indicating the availability of a suitable foundation for applying the lean thinking approach in the factory under study.
The discussion committee consisted of:
Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Hani Mohammed – College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul as a Chairman, Assistant Professor Dr. Ragheed Ibrahim Ismail – College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul as a member, Assistant Professor Dr. Amal Sarhan Sulaiman – College of Administration and Economics / University of Mosul as a member and
