Weed Control and Grassing of the Center’s Fields within the University Campus.

The Center of Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research (C.AFCAR) at the University of Mosul has commenced a comprehensive campaign to control weeds and grass the fields belonging to it within the university campus on Sunday, April 19, 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to preserve the University environment and improve the overall appearance of green spaces.
The campaign included removing harmful weeds, cleaning the fields, as well as grassing the cultivated areas, which contributes to promoting healthy and organized plant growth. Environmentally friendly methods were used to ensure the best results without harming the ecological balance within the fields.
This activity aims to reduce the spread of harmful weeds in the fields belonging to the center, thereby enhancing healthy and regular plant growth, in addition to supporting the optimal use of the agricultural lands belonging to the center and increasing their productive and research efficiency.
This campaign aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, including:
