The Council of the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at the University of Mosul held its meeting on Tuesday, 6 October 2026, to discuss the registration of scientific research for the current academic year. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammed Subhi Mustafa Al-Taweel, Director of the Center, and attended by members of the Council.

  The meeting reviewed the scientific research proposals submitted for registration within the research plan for the current academic year. The Council examined their topics and their alignment with the Center’s academic and research specializations and objectives, with the aim of supporting scientific research and strengthening its role in the fields of arid farming and conservation agriculture.

  The Council also discussed a number of issues included on the meeting agenda and adopted the necessary recommendations and decisions in accordance with the Center’s commitment to organizing its research activities and enhancing its scientific performance.

  The meeting forms part of the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research’s ongoing efforts to monitor the research activities of its members and encourage scientific studies that contribute to addressing agricultural challenges and advancing sustainable development in arid and semi-arid environments.
