Students of the College of Agriculture and Forestry at the Center of Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research (C.AFCAR).

The AFCAR Center at the University of Mosul received third-Grade students from the Department of Plant Protection and the Department of Field Crops / College of Agriculture and Forestry / University of Mosul on Thursday, April 16, 2026, as part of a scientific visit to the center to learn about the most important modern equipment, genetic resources, and statistical procedures on leguminous crops. Associate Prof. Dr. Maan Mohammed Saleh provided a comprehensive explanation of the center’s research and service activities, as well as its role in supporting farmers and enhancing scientific research, especially in arid and semi-arid environments.
The visit included a field tour of the center’s departments, laboratories, and research facilities, during which students were introduced to the scientific and technical capabilities and the mechanisms for conducting field and laboratory experiments, thereby strengthening the link between the theoretical and applied aspects of sustainable agriculture.
This visit reflects the center’s efforts to enhance scientific collaboration between colleges and research centers and to exchange expertise, contributing to the support of applied research and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, most notably:
