Harvesting several varieties of wheat in the fields of the Center of Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research (C.AFCAR) located at the Uni-Campus.

On Monday, June 8, 2026, the Center of AFCAR commenced the harvest of wheat crop grown in the research station within the university campus. This activity is part of the scientific program aimed at evaluating crop varieties and improving the efficiency of agricultural production in arid and semi-arid environments.

This event marks the culmination of an agricultural season that witnessed the implementation of numerous research experiments related to selecting varieties tolerant to different climatic conditions and applying conservation agriculture techniques. These techniques help maintain soil moisture, reduce tillage operations, and lower production costs.

This practice aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including: Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 15 (Life on Land).
