A scientific symposium at the College of Archeology on the occasion of World Heritage Day.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali, the College of Archeology/ Continuing Education Unit held its scientific symposium entitled “Investigation of the Texts of the Al-Nuri Mosque in Mosul” on the occasion of World Heritage Day, which was held in Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Souf Hall on Thursday. Corresponding to April 18, 2024, it was attended by members of the College Council and a group of staff and students.
In it, professor Dr. Ahmed Qasim Al-Jumaa gave a valuable lecture on the verification of the written texts in the Al-Nuri Mosque, as he had efforts exerted in verifying those written texts, so he explained their historical stages over time, and they were a witness to the construction of the Al-Nuri Mosque, the stages of its renovation, and the additions it underwent.
At the conclusion of this symposium, the Dean of the College of Archeology awarded an honorary shield and a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer and certificates of appreciation to those responsible for organizing the scientific symposium.
