A master’s thesis at the College of Archaeology discussing (plans for sanitary buildings in the city of Mosul during the Ottoman era (1250-1336 AH))
The Department of Archaeology at the College of Archaeology at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on (plans for sanitary buildings in the city of Mosul during the Ottoman era 1250-1336 AH) on Monday, August 7, 2023, in the hall of Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Soph in the college, part of the viva was attended by assistant lecturer Khalis Abdul Karim Farman, assistant Dean of the College for Administrative Affairs and a number of college professors and students.
The study presented by the student (Firas Fouad Al-Din Zahir) dealt with health buildings and medical hospitals in the city of Mosul in the Ottoman era 1250-1336 AH.
The study touched on the emergence and development of health institutions throughout the Islamic era and the health and medical conditions in the city of Mosul, as well as the most prominent governmental health and medical institutions in the city of Mosul and health institutions for Christian sects.
The study aims to determine the plans and locations of old hospitals in the city of Mosul during the Ottoman era
The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Hisham Sawadi Hashem Matar from the University of Nineveh / College of Electronic Engineering, and the membership of both Assistant Professor Dr. Farhan Mahmoud Elias and the teacher, Dr. Muhammad Muayyad Malallah, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Akram Muhammad Yahya.
