This region is considered one of the vital and prominent regions among the regions of the world with its civilization Its history is full of elements and cultural achievements of importance and a great cultural influence on human civilizations. In the region, it is considered, by virtue of its distinguished geographical location, a link between the western basin of the Mediterranean Sea and the eastern basin of it, which is represented by the authentic civilizations known in the ancient world, which are the Greek, Roman, and civilizations of the ancient Near East. It is also a link between the parts of the African continent itself that are linked and intertwined with it, the most prominent of which is the Egyptian civilization.
