Department of Sociology Visits Al-Nuri Grand Mosque

The purpose of the visit was to observe the progress of the reconstruction efforts of this historic Islamic landmark, which stands as a symbol of the city of Mosul. The mosque had been severely damaged by extremist terrorist groups during their control of Mosul in 2014.
