Scientific committee in the department:

The Scientific Committee in the French Language Department performs basic tasks in the department. It sets annual plans for the admission of students, especially postgraduate students. It also discusses requests that come to the department regarding scientific affairs and records research for teachers. It also sets plans to hold conferences, seminars and workshops for the department and signs special forms. Scientific promotions for teachers. It is also responsible for setting questions for the competitive exam for applicants for postgraduate studies. Senior professors of the department with diverse and comprehensive specializations and scientific titles (professor and assistant professor) participate in this committee. There is a teaching assistant at the rank of assistant professor. The academic year 2022-2023 is from the gentlemen whose names are listed below:

Department Postgraduate Committee:

The Graduate Studies Committee was formed in the French Language Department after postgraduate studies were opened during the academic year 1997-1998. The work of the Graduate Studies Committee is limited to supervising and following up the competitive exam for applicants for postgraduate studies, conducting personal interviews for applicants, examining their fitness for admission to postgraduate studies, and participating in correcting examination books, setting grades and announcing Results and follow-up to the monthly reports of the supervisors of postgraduate students. The number of French language students for the academic year (2022-2023) is as follows:

1. Preliminary studies: the number of morning

   preliminary studies students (64) female, and (39) male.

2. Postgraduate studies: Master’s degree in French language and literature: () female student, () female student.

Note: The number of students who have graduated from the French Language Department since its inception has reached () male and female students.

 

Conditions and controls for central admission to Iraqi universities

1. The student must have a preparatory school certificate.

2. The student must be born in 1998 onwards.

3. To be successful in the medical examination, to devote himself to study, and it is not permissible to combine work and study.

4. To be a graduate of the current academic year or the previous academic year who is not centrally accepted in any college or institute.

 

Controls for admission of non-Iraqi students

1. Acceptance in accordance with the programs and agreements in force with Arab and foreign countries (cultural exchange).

2. Accepting the children and wives of diplomats working in Iraq.

3. Acceptance upon admission at own expense.

 

Admission terms and conditions

1. The student must have an Iraqi high school diploma or its equivalent.

2. The student’s non-Iraqi certificate is equalized by the Iraqi Ministry of Education, the General Directorate of Evaluation and Examinations.
