Al-Ahmedy Speaking at the British Royal Institute for International Relations … Chatham House

Prof. Qusay Kamaladdin Al-Ahmady, Rector of University of Mosul, delivers a speech at the British Royal Institute for International Relations, Chatham House, the largest institution concerned with international politics on Thursday, October 3, 2019. The Rector’s speech stressed the important and pivotal role of the university in preserving the cultural heritage, building the city and society and actively interacting with all people. Likewise, he emphasized the need of support from the international community to the university. Noteworthy is that the rector’s speech was highly applauded by the attendees especially that this is the first typical participation of an Iraqi University rector in the Royal Institute since a long time. Later, the Rector presented a token, the Library Shield to Baroness Emma Nicholson, former Plenipotentiary Minister of the British Government, currently a member of the British House of Lords and in charge of the Iraqi-British Businessmen Council, London.
