The College of Medicine at the University of Mosul discussed the master’s thesis titled “Evaluation of Spirometric Changes in Women with Thyroid Disorders” on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

The study, presented by researcher Dalal Ayad Abdul Qader, aimed to compare lung function between patients with thyroid disorders and healthy individuals

She found that lung function is affected in patients with hypo- and hyperthyroidism and that restrictive lung diseases are more common in patients with hypothyroidism.

The discussion committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Rami Mohammed Adel Al-Hayali, Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Qais Omar, Instructor Dr. Aliaa Farouk Sanallah, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Afraa Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Amin, and Instructor Dr. Janan Abdul Razzaq Abdullah as a supervising and participating member.
