On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, chaired the third session of the University Council, with the attendance of all council members.

A number of directions and deliberations were discussed, the most notably the emphasis on inviting members of scientific committees from outside the university to support academic experience exchange and strengthen scientific communication with other academic institutions.
Also, the council discussed encouraging the students to apply for the unified national ID card, as 11 stations were set up within the university campus in coordination with the relevant authorities to facilitate the students’ official procedures.

Regarding the administrative and media, the University President directed that the technical connection of media units in the colleges should be directly with the Department of Media and Government Communication at the university’s headquarters, while maintaining their administrative connection with the deans of the colleges.

The council stressed on early notifying to attend the national occasions to ensure proper preparation and effective participation, emphasizing that such participation is a national and institutional duty embodies belonging soul and responsibility towards both the nation and the university.

The session concluded with the confirmation of the Rector on following-up the implementation of the resolutions and recommendations issued, aiming to achieve the university’s goals in sustainable academic and administrative development.
