With pride and honor, and confident steps toward academic excellence, the University of Mosul is pleased to announce a new achievement added to its record of outstanding contributions. This achievement is represented by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s approval to consider higher degrees and adjust academic ranks for a group of its staff members.

This accomplishment is the culmination of tireless efforts, which resulted in the issuance of university orders for 2025, building upon the successes achieved in 2023 and 2024, further raising the stature of knowledge and education at our esteemed university.

Highlights of the Achievement (2023 – 2025):

⦁ The comprehensive statistics for recognizing certifications (Ph.D., Master’s, and Bachelor’s) include the following:

⦁ Total certifications recognized: A total of 1,113 certifications across various academic and professional tracks.

⦁ Distribution of academic degrees: This achievement includes the recognition of 643 Ph.D. certificates, 377 Master’s certificates, and 93 Bachelor’s certificates.

Details of the tracks:

⦁ Study leaves: Leading the list with 745 certificates recognized.

⦁ According to the 2020 Law: 267 certificates were recognized for eligible recipients.

⦁ Contracts and new appointments: The procedures included 62 certificates for contractual staff and 39 certificates for new appointees.

This upward trajectory, which witnessed a remarkable leap in 2025 with 493 recognized certificates, compared to previous years, reflects the University of Mosul’s commitment to supporting its staff and ensuring their academic and professional rights, all in service of the educational progress in our beloved Iraq.
