The University of Mosul has received approval from Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to establish a Master’s program in Renewable Energy Sciences within the Department of New and Renewable Energies at the College of Science. This program will commence in the 2026-2027 academic year.

This significant academic development is the result of the direct supervision and continuous support from the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, in efforts to enhance the university’s graduate studies system.

This new program is a valuable addition to the academic offerings at the University of Mosul and represents a strategic step toward providing the job market with specialized professionals in the fields of clean and sustainable energy. The achievement was made possible through the diligent efforts of the Graduate Studies Department at the University Presidency, in collaboration with the Graduate Studies Unit at the College of Science, ensuring that all requirements for the program’s establishment were met in accordance with the Ministry’s accredited standards.
