A Scientific Lecture on the Importance of the Arabic Language in the Modern Era for Students of the Indian AEC Centre

As part of its academic collaboration and cultural openness, Assistant Professor Dr. Bassel Khalaf Hamoud, Head of the Arabic Language Teaching Unit for Non-Native Speakers at the Continuing Education Center – University of Mosul, delivered a scientific lecture to students at the Indian AEC Centre (Army Educational Corps), titled:
“The Importance of the Arabic Language in the Modern Era: An Academic and Professional Perspective for Indian University Students.”
The lecture covered the global status of the Arabic language, its role in education, scientific research, international relations, and the modern job market, with a focus on the academic and professional opportunities the Arabic language offers to Indian university students, especially in fields such as translation, diplomacy, media, and regional studies.
The lecture witnessed positive engagement from the students, along with a scholarly discussion about the prospects of learning Arabic as a language of culture, knowledge, and international presence. The students emphasized the importance of such events in strengthening scientific and cultural communication between academic institutions.
This lecture is part of the University of Mosul’s and Continuing Education Center’s efforts to support the teaching of Arabic to non-native speakers and enhance its academic and professional presence on both regional and international levels.
