On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the University of Mosul welcomed the ministerial committee assigned to evaluate research centers, chaired by Professor Dr. Lubna Khamis Mahdi, Director-General of the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The committee reviewed the performance of the research centers and their operational mechanisms, praising the organization and scientific efficiency of the centers.

The committee also toured the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Exhibition held as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, where they expressed admiration for the students’ entrepreneurial projects, confirming that what University of Mosul offers represents a distinguished model in Iraq for supporting scientific research and innovation.

At the end of the visit, the committee chairwoman commended the university’s efforts in empowering its research centers and fostering creativity, emphasizing that what has been achieved reflects a strong institutional vision and an ambition that goes beyond the ordinary.
