Under the patronage and presence of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, the University’s Electronic Computing Center hosted its first international scientific conference, titled “Modern Trends in Sustainable Technologies”, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, with participation from a select group of academics and researchers from both within Iraq and abroad.

The conference aimed to shed light on the latest scientific and technological developments in the field of sustainable technologies, promote scientific research, and support innovation that contributes to sustainable development.

This conference is part of the University of Mosul’s efforts to keep pace with scientific and technological progress and to open avenues for local and international academic collaboration, with its activities continuing until Thursday, February 12, 2026.
