In a step aimed at strengthening communication and cooperation between academic and governmental institutions, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, headed a university delegation accompanied by the Assistant Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs and members of the University Council during a visit to the Deputy Governor of Nineveh for Technical Affairs, Mr. Khalid Abdul Karim Al-Obaidi, on Wednesday, 18 February 2026.

During the official meeting, both sides discussed prospects for partnership and cooperation. The university delegation expressed Mosul University’s readiness to provide scientific and consultative support to develop sustainable service and urban projects in Nineveh Governorate. The meeting also emphasized the importance of maintaining strong collaborative momentum and highlighting the university’s pioneering role in supporting state institutions with academic expertise, contributing to reconstruction and development across the governorate.
