In recognition of the talents of Mosul University students and in appreciation of their academic achievement, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, met on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, with the team from the College of Pharmacy that secured first place in the student competition held at Al-Mustansiriya University in Baghdad. The competition was organized as part of the First International Conference of Colleges of Pharmacy in Iraq, with broad participation from fifteen distinguished Iraqi universities.

During the meeting, the University President reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to supporting its students’ potential, providing the necessary resources for their excellence, nurturing their talents, and strengthening their capabilities in ways that elevate the university’s standing in both local and international academic forums.

Following the meeting, Professor Dr. Yasser Fakhri Mustafa, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, accompanied by the team supervisor Lecturer Dr. Thamer Abdul Jabbar Omar, presented the University President with a commemorative shield of victory. The gesture reflected the students’ pride in the institutional support that contributed to this qualitative achievement and in fostering a competent new generation of pharmacists dedicated to serving society and advancing the healthcare sector in Iraq.
