In line with its presidency’s vision to enhance its scientific and advisory role and serve the community, the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, received on Monday, April 6, 2026, Assist. Prof. Dr. Suhaib Khaled Jasim, Dean of the College of Political Science, in his office, in the presence of Dr. Ali Aghwan and Dr. Tariq Mohammed Thanoon.

The meeting discussed the key mechanisms and approaches required to create suitable conditions and provide the necessary logistical and technical requirements for establishing the consultancy office. The initiative aims to deliver solid academic and professional expertise to state institutions and society, as well as to produce academic research in political science based on evidence and documented sources, taking into account both international and Iraqi laws, as well as the perspectives of divine religions on political issues.

The discussion also covered future visions and plans for the establishment of the office and its scope of work in providing specialized consultations and studies. This reflects the university’s commitment to engaging with the community, supporting its institutions, and developing its academic environment in line with modern scientific standards.
